Water Sports in Wisconsin

Photojournalist of the Day: Bagylan M. (Kazakhstan)

Hello! We were amazed as we traveled to another U.S. state for our 4th day on the program. We spent most of the day at Lauderdale Landing, Wisconsin with Adaptive Adventures. The friendly staff and volunteers led us on activities like adaptive kayaking and water skiing. We were amazed by Wisconsin and enjoyed seeing the beautiful landscapes.

After experiencing water sports, we traveled back to Chicago for an evening session with staff from Adler University about sports psychology. We received a lot of useful information such as mental toughness and ways to manage stress, that will be helpful for us in future and when we compete.

The Sports Visitor Program entitled, "Youth Wheelchair Basketball, Disability Rights, and Inclusion", brings 14 participants from Kazakhstan and Thailand to the U.S. for a fast-paced short-term sports cultural exchange.
